Franz Hilberath is a writer, publicist, artist manager, and editor/founder of MP3 MAG

Franz's passion for telling creative's stories began as a journalist with local and national newspapers (Creative Loafing, Tallahassee Democrat), magazines (Marquee, Man of the Hour), and blogs (EDM.com, CULTR). His byline spans live event coverage, music reviews and interviews with innovators such as ODESZA, Marc Rebillet, RUFUS DU SOL, Lee β€œScratch” Perry, GRiZ, & SOFI TUKKER.

Franz shifted to "Public Relations" in 2019, working with artists and labels like WAKAAN on conceptualizing brand strategy and marketing pillars. Franz previously worked with LA agency, INFAMOUS PR, assisting on campaigns for industry trend-setters such as Damian Lazarus, Mikey Lion, Lee Burridge, and Walker & Royce, and served as a Manager / Director of PR at Mind Warp Management -- home to Mersiv, A Hundred Drums, Smoakland, & More. 

Today, as an independent publicist (Franz.mp3), Franz has represented true creatives and esteemed labels such as Zeds Dead (Deadbeats), Gravitas Recordings, Mersiv (MorFlo Records), Night Tales (Ultra Records), Of The Trees (Memory Palace), Justin Jay (Fantastic Voyage), Meduso, KHIVA, RaeCola, THRASHA and more.

Franz specializes in collaborating on brand strategy with artists, brands, and events to raise awareness online and in our IRL community through different activations, coverage and content placements.

Franz is also founder and head of operations at MP3 MAG, a digital and print magazine dedicated to covering the North American music festival scene, and serves as an artist manager to Los Angeles-based Producer/Designer, Meduso, & Florida Visual Artist, Stef.fx.
